Wilkinson’s reality show, “Kendra” has been a hit for E! Television since it premiered on the network.

“We know that Kendra has millions of fans and we feel that it’s rare to find well-produced, hardcore footage of a star of her magnitude,” Vivid’s Steven Hirsch said. “The tape was brought to us by a third party and after consulting with our attorneys, we are confident in our right to distribute it. We’ve been trying to reach Kendra but have so far been unsuccessful. We therefore made the decision to release ‘Kendra Exposed’ to stores across the country by the end of May. We believe this could be our all time best selling celebrity tape.”

Vivid says the tape was made before she was engaged to and then married Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett. The name of her sex partner in the video, which was shot before she moved into the Playboy mansion, has not been revealed.

Prior to “Kendra,” Wilkinson was on E!’s “Girls Next Door” and featured on “E! True Hollywood Story.”

“Kendra Exposed” will be distributed under the Vivid-Celeb imprint.

Vivid made public today a model release signed by country music star Mindy McCready, confirming that she transferred rights to a sex tape she made with her ex-boyfriend to a third party.

Vivid said it plans to move ahead with the release of “Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress” to stores across the country and online.

Steven Hirsch, Vivid’s founder, said his studio, which obtained the tape from a third party last year, has turned the documentation over to McCready’s attorney, Adam Dread and is making it public to show “we have nothing to hide and we have all the appropriate documentation.”

The notarized model release specifically references “McCready … eating dinner, relaxing and having sex. Mindy McCready is a country music star. (She was) over 18 when recorded. Footage is two hours, 40 minutes long.”

“We acquired the video last year for our Vivid-Celeb line, believing that McCready’s fame was on the rise because she was releasing a new album and she would be on the Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew show,” Hirsch said. “It was a very appealing package to us because not only is the footage exciting with very hot sex, but all of the paperwork was in order and we knew we were getting a completely legal product.”

McCready’s attorney had previously sent a “cease and desist” letter to Vivid asserting that the company had no rights to the tape.

“We do, in fact, have the rights to this material and we fully intend to market it,” Hirsch said. “Our door will always be open to Mindy and she should feel free to contact me anytime.”

McCready displays her sexual talents in the movie and describes the bedroom performances of Red Sox and Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens and other celebrities she’s been involved with over the years.
